Mary Auker-Endres (She/Her)

Executive Director

Mary is a political organizer with over 18 years of experience. She grew up in Lancaster County and is passionate about seeing good organizing here at home. Having managed or consulted on dozens of campaigns, she has served in every role, from campaign manager to communications director, field director to finance director. She especially loves working with local candidates and has created and administered more than 25 trainings for candidates and staff. She is also an Emerge PA graduate, a former Democratic county executive, and state committee member, and former candidate herself. In addition to politics, she loves knitting, reading, and yoga and lives in Elizabethtown with her spouse, son, one chaos gremlin mutt, and one supermodel corgi.

Jessica Haile (She/Her)

Finance Director

Jessica has lived in Lancaster County for 16 years. She has been involved in democratic politics since 2012, having served as her precinct’s committee person and on the county party’s executive board. Jessica has worked on campaign teams for over 15 candidates, vying for positions such as state representative, school board, township supervisor, and county sheriff. She has played a variety of campaign roles including event planning and communications, but specializes in campaign finance. She has five years of experience as a campaign treasurer and is excited to train more treasurers! In her day job, she is Dean of international students at Franklin & Marshall College. At F&M, she also co-chairs the F&M Votes Coalition, a non-partisan voter engagement initiative for eligible student voters. She lives in Hempfield with her husband and sassy cat, Pixel.

Adam Hosey (He/Him)

Field Director

Adam is a member of the Democratic State Committee and a prior school board candidate in a hotly contested district. He has served on two field teams for contested races and has assisted other local candidates in their organizing efforts. He is also on the senior leadership team of a local non-profit where he focuses on equitable and inclusive policy and advocacy. Adam is a transplant to Lancaster County from Philadelphia who lives in Manheim Township with his spouse, two young sons, and anarchist cats.

DJ Ramsay (He/Him)

Communications Director

DJ Ramsay is a communication consultant and designer who works to provide meaningful communication solutions for progressive entities like governments, nonprofits, and campaigns. He has been involved in politics and social action for more than a decade, and has previously served as chair of the local Democratic committee’s Communications Committee. A graduate of Millersville University, DJ lives in Lancaster City and can often be found spending Friday nights at DipCo, having passionate discussions about typefaces.

Dana Hamp Gulick (She/Her)

Training Associate

Dana Hamp Gulick is a three-time state house candidate who has also worked to assist other local candidates in and around her area through field work and communications. A native of Lancaster County, she serves on the boards of two non-profits focused on empowering marginalized communities and serving those experiencing domestic violence. She has previously served as co-chair of the local Democratic Women’s Caucus. Dana is an ad executive by day who lives in a multigenerational household of women with her mother and daughter and two friendly kitties in Manheim Township.

Michele Wherley (She/Her)

Training Associate

Michele is a two-time state house candidate who has also worked on local campaigns doing communications and event management work. She has also served as co-chair of the local Democratic Women’s Caucus. Michele is a human resources professional in higher education in Lancaster City. A native of York county, she’s called Lancaster County home for over a decade, living now in Lancaster Township with her husband and the goodest boy, her dog, Brody.

Courtney Morton (She/Her)

Training Associate

Courtney is a local organizer and former school board candidate. She grew up in Lewistown, PA but has been a resident of Lancaster County for over 2 decades. By day a quality systems manager for a large pharmaceutical company, Courtney spends much of her free time volunteering with and for local campaigns. A local Democratic district leader for several years, Courtney has assisted campaigns with field, communications, and finance help. She lives in Manheim Township with her husband, daughter, son, and fluffy cat, Pickle.

Nick Brooks (He/Him)

Training Associate

Nick has worked with a number of campaigns as a communications coordinator and field director. He has also served as communications chair for his local Democratic committee for the last five years. Nick has experience with political messaging and designing campaign material for digital and print. Nick believes in grassroots, community organizing that motivates people to vote and activates them to make a difference on the issues that matter to them. Nick lives in Lancaster with his family, works as an instructional designer, and teaches history.
